[Suzaku had undergone a few invasive procedures himself, upon returning to his station. None of it was unbearable, but even after he disclosed all that he knew, one of the commanding officers wasn't satisfied with his report. It felt like those questions went on forever, and then the medical examinations dragged on longer still.
The bandages on his arm itched, and for perhaps the dozenth time he tugged on his sleeve. The results had been inconclusive. Whatever modifications he may have been subject to were beyond the scope of the tests. Of course, the doctors were busily devising new ones...
That thought alone was enough for him to huff out a sigh as he stuffed his hands in his pockets and continued down the street.
In truth he hadn't told them everything. He wasn't yet certain whether he should disclose that a Mendolia assassin had been the one behind his escape. It could go one of two extremely different ways. And thinking about it made him wonder what may have befallen Rolo as a result of those events.
He certainly hadn't been out murdering people of late. At least, none of the recent deaths followed his patterns. That was a good thing, he told himself many times over, yet he felt uneasy about it all the same]
